‘Tottenham? No one has called me!’ – Serie A star’s agent plays down transfer talk

first_imgTottenham have yet to make contact with the agent of Simone Zaza and could be forced to switch their attentions elsewhere if Juventus decide to take up their option of re-signing the Italy international.Zaza was strongly linked with a move to White Hart Lane back in January but the move never materialised.Mauricio Pochettino is keen to strengthen his forward line as uncertainty surrounds the long-term future of Emmanuel Adebayor, and is believed to retain an interest in the 23-year-old.But with Juventus retaining a buy-back option on the Sassuolo forward, the Italian giants could decide to bring back the prolific forward at the end of the season.Zaza’s agent Christian Maifredi insists there have been no talks with any clubs over his long-term future and says they will keep their options open.Maifredi, speaking on Tuttomercatoweb, said: “It’s too early to talk about the future.“Juventus are in the middle of their League campaign as well as other objectives, and with Sassuolo yet to attain safety they’re hardly thinking about the transfer market.“Tottenham? No one called me, I don’t know if Sassuolo had contacts. Being a striker for the national team was good for him, no doubt, but he’s only thinking about Sassuolo.” Simone Zaza 1last_img read more
